Nodeka Celebrate 15 Years w/ Player Wipe

July 2014 will mark the 15th anniversary of Nodeka. To celebrate this
milestone, we will be "rebooting" Nodeka by performing our first ever
player wipe. This means everyone will start fresh and anew.

Nodeka Player Wipe (July 2014):

July 2014 will mark the 15th anniversary of Nodeka. To celebrate this milestone,
we will be "rebooting" Nodeka by performing our first ever player wipe. This
means everyone will start fresh and anew.

All characters logged in after the player wipe "switch" has been turned on will
be reset to level 1 non-remort race/class with untrained statistics, pools, and
abilities. All equipment, platinum, gold, experience, stones, etc. will be
wiped. All quests and morality will be wiped. In essence, your character will
essentially be reset to a brand new fresh character (well, almost, see details
below).

We realize this is a huge change to undertake, mentally, for those of you who
have been playing Nodeka for the last 15 years, but we feel this will give
Nodeka a chance to start fresh and allow new opportunities and excitement for
everyone!

Some key points about this player wipe:

1. Characters will not be deleted, they will be "reset" upon login. This means
you will still have ownership of your characters names and they will still use
the same passwords. This also means that you will remain in your associated
clan and your clan halls will remain intact. Your character settings will also
remain intact, but all tangibles related to your character and his or her
associated data (equipment, morality, reknown, augments, quests, data, etc.)
will be reset.

2. Donations: to compensate those who have supported Nodeka, upon first login
after the "player wipe" all donations that were made on your character prior to
the wipe will be reassigned to that character in DOUBLE. Specifically, any
donations made to a character will be doubled after the player wipe; this means
you can donate any amount on your character between now and July 25 and those
donations will be received immediately and then re-applied 2x after the player
wipe.

Note: if you have previously donated on another character in exchange for
platinum (or some other commodity) such transactions will *not* be reinstated.

3. 2X experience and gold: To kick start the launch, after the wipe, we will
have a week (or more) of 2x experience/gold to help people get started at a
comfortable rate. We will also enjoy weekly item hunts aimed to fit the new
circumstances.

4. To ensure reset players don t feel trapped in a class / race they no longer
like, all wiped characters will be given one free class and race change
post-wipe. This free class and race change can be used at any time (e.g.,
immediately or six years after the wipe).

How can you prepare for this? One of the biggest facets of this change is the
new degree of competition. Get the word out. Have friends that stopped playing
and would like to start the game fresh? Let them know, get them to play, and
play with them so they are up to speed. Revisit low level areas so you
understand the layouts and pitfalls.

Have friends that have never played but might be interested? Let them know!
Build as many alliances as possible! Nodeka s dynamics will drastically change
after the player wipe, so keep in mind those people who are strong today may
be weak tomorrow and vice versa.

We understand there will be many questions and concerns over this process and
will attempt to make the change as smooth and simple as possible. We feel this
is a great next step for Nodeka and will be enjoyable for everyone.
